HEAT SEAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR EMBROIDERY
With Heat Seal Machine – 350 degrees for 20 seconds or 375 degrees for 15 seconds with medium pressure. Use of a protective cloth is recommended.
With an Iron – Set iron to Cotton, no steam. Cover design with a thin cloth. Press straight down for 25 seconds with constant pressure – no back and forth.
If designs are delicate (those containing beads or sequins or made of sensitive fabrics like vinyl) or thick like puffy designs, the heat must be applied from the back of the appliqué. Place appliqué on garment and cover with protective cloth. Apply heat for 5-7 seconds to hold design in place. Turn over and heat from the back for 20-25 seconds.
Check your fabric to be sure it can tolerate the required heat. If necessary, reduce heat and extend dwell time. You may need to experiment until you find the ideal combination of time and temperature. HEAT SEAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR STONE, NAILHEAD AND RHINESTONE TRANSFERS
